2Chicks And A Farm is home to over 150 poultry and animals.

On average it costs $1500 a month for routine care and feeding. Then there’s the Specialty Care and Vet Care.

Specialty Care includes tasks including grooming for Rocky and Stella, our Great Pyrenees Livestock Guardian Dogs, and hoof trims for the goats and pigs.

Specialty Care adds up to an average of $250 a month.

Due to diligent husbandry, Vet Care is kept to a minimum. But, all rescue cats and kittens, get a vet check-up, worming, flea / tick treatment, vaccinations, and spayed or neutered costing around $300 per cat / kitten, more if they have any significant health issues.

The pot-bellied pigs require annual mange vaccinations and the goats annual CDT vaccines. Long-term resident cats and the dogs require annual vet check-ups, vaccinations, monthly flea and tick treatment and occasional worming.

Is there a specific breed or individual animal on the farm you feel especially drawn too? If so, our Sponsorship Program was created for you!

For a one-time (i.e.$300 to Sponsor a new Cat / Kitten), or monthly payment (for ongoing care and feeding), you will receive the following:

A photo and biography of your sponsored bird / animal
Your name on the bird / animal’s housing / pen
A monthly email update on your sponsored bird / animal to include photos
As needed updates regarding any health concerns or significant accomplishments
An invite to our ‘Annual Appreciation BBQ’, date TBD.
